Exquisite and Finest Quality Antique Persian Solid Silver Pen Tray; Late Qajar c1920

Skillfully hand made, it features extremely intricate all over hand chased naturalistic scrolls and arabesques.

It is stamped to the base with the arabic numerals 84 indicating that it was made from the usual standard of 84% which is purer than most continental silver and similar to the Imperial Russian standard.

It is in very good condition.

Quite large, extremely tactile and beautifully proportioned, at 242mm (9 and a half inches) by 65mm (just over 2 and a half inches).

Made from a very thick gauge of solid silver it feels very heavy at 116g or 4.1oz.
