Here up for grabs is an exquisite example of Navajo jewelry art. I bought this belt at Richardson\'s in Gallup sometime the early eighties. I\'m resizing and need to pare down my collection. It is of sterling silver with four green turquoise stones in the buckle, one each on the six butterflies and five on the conchos for a total of fifteen stones. Each stone is graced with a great copper matrix and is in a rope border setting and is itself bordered with silver rope twist wire. All stones are in perfect condition with no flaws of any sort. The silver is unmarked and is likewise in perfect condition with a time earned patina front and back. As far as I can tell it has never been worn. The leather belt measures 1 1/2\" x 44\". It weighs in at 640 gms. The silver design work has a definite \"Art Deco\" feel to it. If you\'re truly into Navajo silver work you must have this in your collection. Thanks for looking!!!
