Being offered is an Exquisite Vintage R.S. Prussia Reproduction Large Jewelry / Casket Box. I believe this piece was made Circa 1950 because although stunning it's transfer work not hand-painted like most if not all R.S. Prussia pieces. The box is a rich cobalt color with raised gold gilt flowers and scrollwork with vibrant multi-floral cartouches. The top of the box features a large scene with two lovers, a dog and sheep resting comfortably in the forest. The inside of the box is embellished with two large vivid multi-floral sprays. This magnificent piece is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with no chips, cracks or crazing showing absolutely no signs of wear delivering a bright & glossy finish, there is no loss of gold. It stands 5 1/2" tall, 11" X 7" in diameter.
