Vibrant 1880s flow blue (under glaze) Gaudy Welsh hand painted (over glaze) pitcher / jug with painted gold gilt. I don\'t have a pattern book, but I\'ve been told this is the \"Llanidloes\" pattern. It features four different flowers, delicate tendrils, leaves, a berry \"vine\" along the top, and feather/leaf type designs at the foot. Very striking, and sure to stand out among your flow blue or gaudy collection.
In great condition with no observed cracks or repairs. Light crazing only visible with bright, direct light. No flakes to paint. Marked to base with impression under glaze (unreadable) and decorator\'s mark. Blue tinge to glaze at base. White, opaque body. Molded acanthus spout. Also molded heart designs at top corner of each panel. Please see pictures for complete details and condition.
