This is a beautiful antique French clock. It is gold ormolu with a marble base. The person in the family who purchased this clock in 1967 belonged to the NAWCC and this is one the clocks he owned. It used to run in the 1970\'s and 1980\'s, but, this clock has been packed away since 1993. Now, it does not want to continue to run. Unforunately, I don\'t know how to explain about this clock. All of you collectors will know much more than I do about this clock. I was told this French clock was made in the circa of 1850 to 1860.The clock measures 16 and 1/2 inches tall and the base is 6\" by 10\". The key is with the clock. There is a tiny piece of marble missing on the side of the dophins tail, which I had never noticied until we took the photos. A very old and interesting subject and beautiful antique clock and would look nice in any room. The photos will tell the story.
