This listing is for a signed18th century French Sevres porcelain hand painted dresser box. Thebox has brass mounts with a fancy latch at the front and is hinged at theback. The box measures 3 inches or 7.5 cm high, 6 ½ inches or 16.5 cm wide and is 5 ¾inches or 14.5 cmdeep.
The box features aceleste blue and white ground. The topof the box has a polka-dot pattern in the blue with round cartouches of handpainted floral bouquets and a scalloped edge cartouche at the center. This a floral swag border with a bow andarrows, along with a flaming torch. Theinterior of the box is also hand painted with flowers. The bottom of the box is signed with thecrossed lines mark and two letters “MS”.
The box is in overall goodcondition, with minor darkening to the brass mounts.
