Fully Jointed Miniature Squirrel
Comes with Leaf Pile Pin Cushion Decorated with Hand Cut Velvet Leaves and Acorn by Janie Comito 2017A sweet creation for autumn 2017~ A little fully jointed Janie-made Squirrel comes with his own pile of velvet hand cut leaves permanently sewn on a black pin cushion base gusseted of 100% wool felt. The pin cushion measures 2 1/2\" across x 3\" tall counting the attached ultra suede acorn in the center. The wee squirrel can sit or stand on the cushion or pose beside it with the larger accompanying acorn emery. ~ The autumn glass head pins shown in the photographs are included ~ of course!The Squirrel is five way jointed and is created of hand tinted velvet. He has light wire armatures in arms and legs for posing. His tail is brown mohair; his eyes are black European glass. In addition, the squirrel has a larger Acorn, one of Janie\'s Acorn emeries) to play with. It is 1 3/8\" long and hand sew from ultra suede, embroidered with vines and beaded with antique cut steel beads tinted in autumn colors; it is filled with wool and crushed garnet. ~ A joyful Autumn creation.

I’m Janie Comito, designer, collector, artisan and appreciator of lovely and fanciful objects. I have been known internationally for 38 years for my miniature teddy bears and other animal and bird designs as well as Raggedy dolls and sewing collectibles and ornamental pieces.
Occasionally I will be offering some vintage pieces from my collection. Most of my offerings are one offs andall my creations are meticulously designed and hand sewn by me; they are made as beautifully as I can contrive to create them.
