Today, I willcontinue listingsomemore lots that are just a tiny part of a HUGE collection that includes clothing & dress parts, ribbons, laces, passementerie, beadwork, hats & hat trims, gloves, hankies, buttons, collars & such...it will probably take me FOREVER to do! I\'m not really sure exactly how to go about it, so I will start small. I initially thought about trying to sort through it, or perhaps coordinate some things by color, but that would REALLY take forever! I didn\'t want to be totally random, either (at least not yet), or make up groupings that might be costly to ship. It\'s truly overwhelming, but I\'m going to give it a try. Some items were never used & are in excellent condition, some are very as-is, & others are somewhere in-between. If there is something particular you are looking for, or want items of a certain color or type, please do let me know!Offered today is a unique & FUN vintage 1950s green mesh round brimmed hat, heavily trimmed with loads of pink fabric millinery flower roses! This hat just screams \"Garden Party\", & is sure to bring a smile to one\'s face! The see-through crown is a double layer of green mesh, covered with a layer of purple veiling, topped by another layer of pink veiling. The deep brim has a wired, grosgrain-wrapped edge, & is covered with dozensupon dozens of cheery pink blooming roses on green cloth stems, accented with lighter green silky fabric leaves. Hat measures about 5\"H x 12\" diameter. Inside is 21\" around the inner grosgrain band, which has a label \"22\".Hat is in fairly good used vintage condition overall. A close inspection found some typical breaks in the thin pink & purple veiling over the crown. (You could very easily just trim it away if desired.) Some of the silky green leaves have a little normal light fray along their raw edges, & a few of them may need a touch of regluing to the hat body...while the flowers ARE glued on, it was done with a much lighter touch than I usually see, so if you planned to remove them for repurposing, it should be fairly easy to get them off the open mesh foundation. If you are looking for a HAPPY hat, then this one should prove an excellent choice!
