Oval in shape, the scene on the lid is of two ladies wearing crinolines  and bonnets - one is carrying flowers. 

The base of the compact is black enamel. 

Inside the compact is marked; Tap Flap, Gwenda, Made in England. 

It measures 3 1/8th inches x 2 1/4 inches. 

Condition;  looks unused, the powder puff has not been used.  front clasp works well, some small scratches to the enamel on the back - please see photos.
