DESCRIPTION: Offered unreserved is an early (1900) Yale Harvard Football Program accompanied by an original ticket to the game! The game was played at Yale.
These items are in wonderful shape and such early pieces from “The Game” are hard to come by. Would make a wonderful gift for a Yale or Harvard Alum or soon-to-be graduate (This was the 21st playing of this storied rivalry--begun in 1875. P.S. Yale won 28-0).
The program is 22 pages, has 10 photos of football and other sports teams (Baseball and Crew) as well as photos of the Yale campus and stadium. It lists detailed statistics for both the Yale and Harvard football teams, a box score (filled in in ink!), scores of past Yale Harvard games. It does, oddly, have statistics of Yale boat races 1853 to date as well as scores of Yale Harvard baseball games 1883 to date.

CONDITION: Ticket is near mint; program very, very good. Dog ear to lower right corner of front cover (corresponding dog ear to lower left to back), otherwise remarkably good condition!

’S GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAM: I have had a number of buyers ask me to not use the Global Shipping Program (GSP) because they said it’s too expensive and takes too long. I had an occasion where I gave a quote to ship to Australia at my cost and it was more expensive than ’s GSP. As far as take a long time: IT TAKES A LONG TIME FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. It just does. (Usually because of hold ups in customs which can take a week or more). It does take time: often 1-2 weeks or more but it does get there. Be Patient.
Please don’t ask me to declare a lower value on foreign shipments. I will not leave the invoice out of the package nor make up a new, fake, one. Please be aware of this. Thank you.
Some information on shipping costs
The cost of shipping can be a sensitive issue at . would like it if everything could be shipped free, like their idol, Amazon.com. They say “raise your price and include the shipping” and then offer FREE SHIPPING. That perhaps works when one is selling new items. With an sale, if I start it for $10 and it falls flat, I lose both ways.
The actual cost of shipping an item from Northern New England to our customers is fairly cut and dried. We prefer to use the U.S. Postal Service and their Priority Mail or Standard Post if at all possible. Larger packages will go Parcel Post or FEDEX ground as it can be a substantial cost savings.
We will, of course, reuse packaging when appropriate but mostly use new boxes, cardboard sheets, tape, etc. that we purchase. The boxes are not cheap. If you have purchased an unframed print from us, it was shipped between 2 (and more likely 4) sheets of 275# double wall cardboard. Those sheets cost over $1.00 each. The special tape we use to cover the glass of framed art and keep it intact in case of breakage costs $85 per roll. We purchase new bubble wrap and packing peanuts. We have never had an item damaged due to poor wrapping and packaging because we do not cut corners to save money. So you get your item safely. (Please see our response to see how customers appreciate our packaging.).
Our charge for shipping is based on the actual shipping charges from the USPS and does not take into account our costs for materials nor the time to package the items and bring them to the Post Office. Please take this into account when leaving DSRs. We do not “make money” on our shipping charges, we lose This is an sale and all sales are considered final.
