Heddon’s rare Dowagiac Artistic Minnow has a ‘Blended Gold’ body with greenish back colordecoration and comes in the Intro Boxwith paper and buoy. The propellerand hardware is gold, the original hackle and both eyes are perfect.

‘Heddon\'s Dowagiac Artistic Minnow’ includes an excellentcondition wood dark green/black lead weighted ‘buoy’ for casting. The special IntroBox includes the original (excellent-minus due to a couple of split creases), 6x 9 ½ in. Heddon Artistic paper flyer with directions and lure images on bothsides and a full page of directions and image for the \"new\" lure.

This lure was first sold in 1907. The Heddon\'s Dowagiac Artistic Minnow was gonefrom the catalogs by 1912. The hard sidedwhite box is marked ‘No. 51, which is ‘blended gold, with greenish back, andgold body, aging of the varnish makes the color vary in the photos. The varnish has typical spotty loss due tosticking to the paper over the years.The under laying paint is solid.

The condition of thebox and lure can be determined by the buyer from the 12 high-def images. Keep in mind these images were taken andlighted to show and magnify any defect, which makes even the best condition lookraw.
