Vintagebelt segment from a concho belt most likely.Fantasticturquoise cut stones, most probably Zuni, and great scroll work for a beautiful large and superbly designed piece. I purchased this when it was attached to a necklace. It could be used in the front of a belt near the buckle or converted to a buckle. I had is wall mounted for a time, it\'s just lovely. I\'m not certain of the age, probably 1940\'s to 50\'s or 60\'s. It is very handsome and all stones are serrated bezel set and secure in their settings. All appear original. Nice blue-green color, more to the blue with a nice light brown matrix. I see three stones with hairline cracks posing no problem.
Belt segmentmeasures 4 5/8\"longX2 3/4\"tall. Will accommodate a belt of up to 1\" approx.
