Founded in 1885 as a money exchange operation. In 1892 began jewelry sales Asakusa, Tokyo. Moved to Ginza District in 1926.
This set was a gift from Yetaro Kinosita, Ph.D. Candidate Columbia University to Mrs Polly K. Connolly.
Opposite side of the presentation card with presentation in Japanese.
Dr. Kinosita author and lecturer in area of commerce and working conditions, beginning in 1902.
This exceptionally well made set contains tea kettle, atop stove with spoon, parasol and pair of zoris.

This rare complete Japanese sterling cruet set tea kettle on stove 2 3/4 inches, parasol caster 3 1/2 inches. Set is 2 1/2 standard ounces, without liner.
In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. The tea kettle stove with original spoon and glass liner as shown. The engraved floral and landscape work retains its detail. Covers well fit. Mild wear and few specks of solder.
