I am offering this Japanese TOA 12 bolt diving helmet for sale. TOA Diving Aparatus Co. was founded in Minanisenji, Japan. This is a Japanese \'Pearler\' style diving helmet copied from the British Heinke Pearler helmet and were used globally.
The helmet is a traditional example of a TOA helmet. There is no maker\'s plate and no brails/nuts; the glass is missing in the face plate however, could easily be replaced. Please note the small split above the face plate in the last photo. Helmet does include hose connector on back. The helmet is not screwed onto the collar properly in the images. At one point in time I removed the hat, but was unable to get it back on correctly. I\'m sure a couple strong men could remedy this; adding some kind of lubricant to allow free movement. As you will see from the photos it has the normal dents and dings and a lovely patina found in well used vintage helmets. I am moving to South America and need to offload some stuff so I\'m starting this sale at $100 with . Since I am emigrating this item is sold \'AS IS\' no returns. Apparently (from a message from an undisclosed member) this helmet could be from a Korean origin. The member stated \'only Korea produced helmets with a seperate crown on top of the helmet\'
I therefore think it is important that this information is made available to buyers.
