LaBelle flow blue ring-handled bowl from the Wheeling Pottery Company, ca. 1900
Price: US $66.00
A flow blue ring-handled decorative bowl from LaBelle, manufactured in Wheeling, WVA by the Wheeling Pottery Company in about 1900. LaBelle was formed in 1887 and was merged with Wheeling Pottery in 1903, forming the Wheeling Potteries, which then functioned until 1909. This bowl is typical of the flow blue work manufactured by Wheeling. It is fairly large, being about 11\" long, a little over 10\" wide, and about 4\" tall at the handle. While there are no chips, cracks, breaks, or scratches, there is some gold loss and there are some rough manufacturing defects in the base of the bowl (see photos). There is crazing evident, especially on the underside of the bowl. The colors are bright and the design is well executed. The marks are clear, including both LaBelle and WP for Wheeling Pottery. Questions are welcomed. Combined shipping for multiple purchases is possible. Returns are accepted under usual guidelines, including the buyer paying for return shipping. I try to use USPS Priority Mail when possible.
