Up for sale is a gorgeous, original Art Nouveau era silver lorgnette circa 1900. The lorgnette is a very large size at 8 1/2\" long. The design is a beautiful, Art Nouveau swirling pattern. The lorgnette is in very good overall condition, especially for its age. There are no dings, splits or holes. There is no monogram. The lenses are in overall good condition with no cracks or chips. There are some scratches from opening and closing. I am unsure about the silver content of the lorgnette. I cannot find a mark, so it is possible that it is silver plate, but it definitely looks sterling. This is a beautiful, rare lorgnette from the Art Nouveau period.
