Leica M2-R Body- Rare M2R camera!

R for Rapid load system. Something like only 2000 were made. Serial number is 1249469 making it a production year of 1969-70. The Leica comes with the Leica fitted case, a generic body cap and the Meter MR. The camera is in very nice condition for its age. There are a few blemishes here and there like some light marks from the meter and a couple on the advance lever. The rangefinder is good and the viewfinder is clear. I can\'t make out the seal letter though its not L. The shutter speeds mostly all sound good though not tested except the two slowest speeds do seem to hesitate slightly and are a tad bit slow. The timer works as does the counter. The only other noticeable thing that I see with the camera is although it advances just fine, it does feel and sound a little dry sometimes. These old, collectable cameras are all sold As-Is. This could be the hard to find model missing from your collection!
