Lot of 19 Antique Miniature All Bisque Dolls Animals Dollhouse Pin Cushion Japan
Price: US $62.00

Presented here for your offerding evaluation is this large lot of antique, mostly all bisque, dolls and animals in a large variety of sizes and styles—some needing a little TLC , and others ready for display! The first photograph shows the lot of 19 items in its entirety. Photos 2 through 5 are close ups of different sections of the lot as laid out. The next sets of photos divide the lot into three groups for easier viewing and discussion, showing the dolls both front and back.

Pictures 6 and 7 show all the fabric dressed dolls. These range in size from 2 1/2” to 9” tall. There are no chips or cracks on these dolls. There is some paint loss to two of the babies, and the girl with molded hair bows has an extra blob of red paint near her lips. The largest, the 9” pin cushion doll, has pin holes in her costume, and the red trim is fraying. The stringing on the Asian doll is somewhat loose. The clothes are lightly yellowed and/or soiled on all.

Photos 8 and 9 show five jointed dolls and three animals. For size reference, the smallest is the frog at 1/2”, and the largest is the girl with molded blue hair bows, standing 5” tall. None of these are chipped, cracked or missing any parts. But, you can see paint rubs and rough finishing techniques in general. Note the two cute googly eyed twins with gold hair! The stringing is a bit loose on the legs of the cold painted bisque baby. The animal figurines consist of the bitty dollhouse sized green frog, a horn playing cat in tails and top hat, and a porcelain figurine of two luster glazed boxer dogs measuring 4” wide.

The last three pictures show the dolls that are not complete. The big Betty Boop type is missing her legs. As found, she measures 5” long, and legs would make her just about 7” tall. Her arms are intact but requiring stringing. her cute, chubby friend stands 5 1/2” tall but needs arms. He has masking tape residue across his chest and some small chips around each arm hole. The wire jointed bisque baby named ‘Joe’ has one broken leg. A little flapper doll head/torso is missing her limbs. She would stand around 2 1/2” tall with legs.

Miniature dolls like these are easy and fun to fix up and display! Please see my other listings for more antique miniature bisque dolls currently listed, keeping in mind that I would be happy to combine shipping whenever practical. If more than one item is won, please be sure to ask for, and wait for a revised invoice combining shipping before paying.
