THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY STUNNING ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU PIN. IT IS A LARGE PIN MEASURING ABOUT 2 1/8\'\' LONG, IT HAS THE OLD HOOK CLASP THAT WORKS SMOOTHLY. THE DETAIL IN THE MERMAID IS BEAUTIFUL, SHE IS COMING OUT OF A CONCH SHELL HOLDING A STONE. HER TAIL IS THE TWO SPLIT TAIL. I CAN FIND NO MARKINGS ON THIS PIECE- SO I DO NOT BELIEVE IT TO BE GOLD, IT IS LIGHT BUT I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS MADE OF. THERE SHOULD BE THREE STONES SET AROUND THE SHELL BUT ONE IS MISSING (SEE PIC) BUT THIS STILL SHOWS BEAUTIFULLY-A REAL EYE CATCHER.
