THIS ITEM IN NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM VIOLATES ANY OF \'S POLICIES.This is a new reproduction buttplate for the early Marlin model 39, 39A, 80, 81, 56, and some of the 336 models (I have another size in this style if this one doesn\'t match up, our stock number is 3420 - check my other items). Measure your stock folks- they used several sizes over the years.
It measures 4 27/32\" (4.843\")x 1 39/64 (1.610\")\" with 2 13/16\" screw hole spacings on center.
The contour may be reshaped by heating (i.e. boiling water). They are made out of a hard plastic that is easy to sand down if the plate is oversized. Also, if the screw holes are off, you can plug your buttstock with dowel rods and redrill it to accommodate the new plate. It may also fit other models. Screws not included.
