The item being offered here is a vintage serving tray from the Moores & Ross Ice Cream. This was an early dairy that did home delivery of milk and dairy products. They went into business in the mid 1920\'s and later joined the Bordens\' Dairy, delivering their dairy products. The original founders of Moores & Ross were Harry Moores & Stanley Ross, and started in 1903 with their first milk dairy. They later developed an infant formula which was later named \"Similac\". They separated the businesses, the dairy part and sold it to Bordens in 1928.Operating on the development of the infant formula business, the company went to the name of the Ross Dietary Company. Today, Ross makes many dietary formulas for all types of dietary needs from the Similac products to Ensure and other miscellaneous products.
This tray was made by The American Art Works, Coshocton, Ohio\". Copyright 1925, 151. This tray is 13 1/8\" x 13 1/8\" x 1\". There are a few paint blemishes on the front and some flakes along the rim edges. There is some rubbing of the paint on the back side with a little corner of rust on the upper left corner. Images are nice, clear, seems to be a matte finish. I have not done any cleaning, other than to dust it off. Great piece of historic nostalgia for old Columbus residents that seen the \'milkman\' at the door, every other day. I sure miss those days! See photos for more details. The tray was pre-owned and still in good condition, for the given age. The wear issues is consistent with the age of the piece.
