National ResoPhonic Soprano Ukulele Copper Powder-Coat Mint Condition
Price: US $565.00
I bought this over a decade ago, just about when I got my first set of hearing aids. I didn\'t realizing how fast my hearing was going, and thought this ukulele would be loud enough to keep on playing. It\'s loud, all right! Sadly, my hearing is such that I can\'t manage a resonator uke, banjo uke, or anything except a very pure acoustic uke such as my Black Bear soprano. I\'ve taken it to a few ukulele festivals and turned down offers to buy it on the spot, as the condition is absolutely pristine. It has no scuffs, scrapes, dings, chips, rubs, cracks, or anything that could be considered a defect. I\'ve been using for 20 years with over 4000 responses, and I very seldom say anything so absolute or precise about the condition of an item. It comes with the original National case (also in mint condition) and is has that fine resonator sound that sounds like jazz from the 20\'s is playing on an old-time radio. I only wish I could still hear it.
Some people say that strings have a life-span, even when unplayed. I can\'t swear to the status of the strings, obviously, but they feel new and look new.The color was called \"copper\" and is powder-coated onto steel. It is an extremely durable surface, and doesn\'t show fingerprints (compare that to the current nickel-plated resonator ukes at National). The 5 7/8\" resonator cone significantly amplifies the instrument. This National Soprano Ukulele features an all steel body that provides this ukulele with a tone that is round, full, warm and loud! The neck is made of maple with an ivoroid bound ebony fingerboard. There\'s a Youtube videouploaded by Bob Guz featuring a gray version of this ukulele--it\'s just like that one but the much nicer (and rarer) copper color.I\'m listing this for international sale, but free shipping is *only* for US destinations. International shipping could be as high as $100, but I\'ll ship at exact cost, but only for an insurable destination. If you\'re an international buyer please private message me to be sure I can fulfill the obligation to ship to your destination.
As in all my sales I list it as \"no returns,\" but that is just because I can\'t take it back due to buyer\'s remorse. If it is in any way short of the description, or is defective in any way, I absolutely will take it back, and without quibbling.
