You are offerding on a Native American Indian Apache Olla Basket crafted about 1890. It is in nice condition with a geometric design, horses, and men around the basket. The men are harder to see, on the top bevel. It measures roughly 16 inches in diameter and is 11 inches deep. It has been on display, so the dust has masked the colors. Someone knowledgeable about these should be able to restore the color, as I am afraid to try anything. It is somewhat misshapen from age, and shows some worn spots at the rim. It is part of a collection of Indian items purchased from an Oklahoma City art dealer in the early 1980s, and is believed to be authentic. It should be a nice addition to your collection. Shipping weight is 10 pounds, double boxed in an oversized box. Please see by other sales for more items from the collection, and for tubes and audio items.

I\'ve had questions about the shipping cost for this. Since the post office went to pricing by size, they are expensive. This is a large basket! I found an 18\" cubic box for the outer box for shipping this....a little smaller than when I input data for the listing. The post office calculator shows $60 for priority mail to the east or west coast. FedEx should be about half this. I will adjust the size before the winning buyer pays. It is not my intent to charge more than the actual retail shipping cost. The packing costs were reflected in the starting price, so there is no charge for that.
