NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN STONE AXE HEAD WITH GROOVE
It is 5 3/4\" long and 2 3/4\" at its widest and roughly 1 1/2\" thick. It weighs 1 lb 2 1/2 ounces.The groove goes half way around and it is flat on the other side. It is very smooth. There are chips on the underside (flat side) of the sharp, chiseled edge. Not sure of the type of stone or the age.This is from a Great-Great Uncle who lived in Pittsburgh, PA and McConnelsville, OH in the late 1800\'s/early 1900\'s. He was born in McConnelsville, Morgan County, in April 1856 and later moved to Pittsburgh, PA.
