Here\'s a pristine Victor IX Victrola Talking Machine manufactured more than a century ago in Camden, NJ. The phonograph is original throughout, and it\'s in perfect working order.Condition is exceptional, as you can see in the photographs. Original cabinet finish, original turntable felt, original nickel plating, original paper license still affixed to the underside of the base and still entirely legible, original brake, original color cabinet decal on the underside of the lid (and it\'s gorgeous; take a look.) The machine\'s only concession to its age is a trace amount of oxidation on the speed control and on the crank, as well as a few minor marks in the cabinet finish that are consistent with a lifetime of gentle handling.
And it plays as great as it displays. The original Exhibition reproducer is in excellent working order, and the original Victor motor is amazingly quiet, just about silent. Volume is modulated by the doors on the front of the cabinet, and when they\'re open all the way, the music can be heard throughout most of the house.
I\'ll include several early Victor 78 RPM records with the phonograph when it ships, and if you grow tired of them, you can take comfort in knowing that thousands of other early records are available from countless other vendors online and offline.
