A nice, French made, Civil War, U.S., Model 1850, Staff & Field, Officers Sword with Scabbard for parts or repair! Everything is here and original, except the pommel. The triple engraved blade is French made, and rates excellent with some slight pitting. The blade has the \"U.S.\" And the \"E. Pluribus\" with the eagle. The hilt is very fancy and has the \"US\" in the guard. The underside of the hilt has the \"PD \" logo. The sharkskin grip rates good. The original pommel was missing, so I slid one on loosely, just to hold the hilt together. The scabbard is original to the sword and rates excellent, showing some slight wear and one small dent.
