This is a great looking old high back saddle made by one of the finest saddle makers Oregon had in the early 1900\'s--Victor Marden of the Dalles, Ore.--his work is highly collectible and getting hard to find--this saddle has a lot of eye appeal and the leather is still all good--at some point in time the studded lower skirt has been replaced--the horn has been wrapped--it has the old style lace up stirrup leathers--the seat as shown in photo measures 13 in.--it has a 7 in. gullet which is very wide for this early of saddle--it is 25-1/4 in. long--5 in. high cantle--sheepskin is mostly all gone--if you are looking for a great maker marked saddle for a display or cowboy room don\'t forget to offer on this one--thanks for looking...........
