This is a nice cornet. It sounds good and the intonation is solid. Valves and slides work OK. I recently used it on a CD recording with the North Carolina Brass Band, but decided to upgrade to a shepherd\'s crook cornet now that I\'ll be playing cornet more regularly. I\'m not sure of the year: serial #883157There are no major dents (a few small ones in the curve of the leadpipe), but there are some scratches and wear, to be expected with a horn this old.
