ALFRED HOLLINS TWELVE ORIGINAL TWO STAVE PIECES FOR ORGAN OR HARMONIUM. Reprinted by Old Chapel Lane Books, Burgh le Marsh, 2010. The pieces were written in 1899 and some of them have harmonium registration such as 16 ft Celeste and octave higher and Harp Aeolienne, which would seem to indicate that he intended them for a Mustel or similar double expression art harmonium. Hollins was born in Hull in 1865 and was blind from birth. He became a very successful organ recitalist and composer for the organ. His music was neglected for a while but has recently come back into fashion. The pieces are:- Morning, Evening, Prelude, Postlude, Pastorale, Communion, Elegy, Bercuese, Prayer, Wedding March, Funeral March, & Finale (En forme d\'Overture). Interesting pieces in a melodic style with Hollins\'s characteristic chromatic harmony some quite fast moving & complex, a nice change for harmonium music Some of the pieces can be found on Youtube played by Michael Hendron on an art harmonium.
