Click to View Image Album THIS IS A sale! UP for your consideration is this \"sometimes\" working, SETH THOMAS WESTMINSTER CHIME WOOD WINDUP CLOCK. It comes with the key & pendulum. It is a huge & very heavy clock. It is all original and has never been serviced. It has a SETH THOMAS 113A MOVEMENT. It is signed on the dial and movement. The dial is in mint like new condition -it is sharp & crisp. The wood case could use a polishing - there are no issues , except for nick/ding to the door -please see pictures...... The clock was used for many years with no issues (it worked fine-you just had to wind it), and when grandma passed away, we just put it away- that was many years ago. I recently tried to use the clock again (after sitting for all those years), and when I wound up the center spring (this is the one for time) it went clunk. If I wind it up all the way it just doesnt catch - If I wind it up only a few turns it does catch and the clock will run for a day or so. I was told it might be a \"click?\" spring or a \"Mainspring\". Also the chimes used to work and now they don\'t -all the springs are wound up -so it might just need some fresh oil to get it going. I am sure the clock has never been serviced. Also the front door could close a little better and needs an adjustment.
