My father, who passed away in the mid-1970\'s, had a small collection of civil war artifacts which he picked up on his travels, mostly during the late 50\'s and 60\'s. This belt buckle has been in my possession for many years and has been sitting in a case inside a trunk all that time. It is time to move it along to someone who will appreciate it more than I do. I know there are many fakes out there, but you should be able to tell from the photographs that this in not one of them. Once again, it is guaranteed to be original and I do offer a return privilege if not satisfied. The buckle is either dug or else an early battlefield pick up. The brass is strong, without damage, and has a characteristic reddish tint. It has the usual casting flaws associated with these buckles - no two ever seem to be exactly alike.
