Excellent condition and guaranteed original Peruvian Model1909 Mauser bayonet that is complete with matching numbered scabbard. Bayonetis identical to the German S98 quillback but has a Peruvian crest on thepommel. Manufactured under contract in Germany and is maker marked “SIMSON& CO. SUHL” on the blade. Blade has beautiful original bright finish with alittle gray staining near the tip and was never sharpened. Remaining metalfinish is nice original bright. Wood grips have original finish and a goodtight fit, lock button functions fine. Matching numbered leather scabbard hassteel throat and tip. Leather shows light wear, stitching and staples are niceand tight. A really nice Peru 1909 Mauser bayonet with matching numbers thatwill make an excellent addition to your collection.
