Randall Made Knife WW2 era, World War 2, WWII
Price: US $8700.00
Well, it breaks my heart to have to do it, but bills need to be paid. For sale is a knife that was given to me by my grandfather, John Hight. This knife was given to him by HIS father, after my grandfather's brother (Charles Hight) was killed in battle in Japan, during World War II. my grandfather's feet were in that very same soil just a few short weeks later. Luckily my grandfather made it home, and within 3 weeks of being home was engaged and out of the Marines. It is unknown to me if my great uncle Charles carried this during the war, but it is absolutely from that era. As you can see the knife was stamped with his name, and he marked the sheath with his name as well. This was proudly displayed in my display cabinet, and it pains me to see it go, but it wouldn't make much sense to hang on to stuff to display if i have nowhere to display it. This is a 100% authentic Randall Made knife, complete with sheath, that has grinding stone pocket. Sheath was made by H.H. Heiser, Denver, Colorado. Sheath is in very good condition. Knife itself was used, but kept razor sharp, as it is to this day. Knife could be polished further, but i preferred to keep it as it was left to me. I can provide further proof of the history of this very desireable knife if necessary.will ship free UPS insured for sold value in lower 48.  any other buyers will pay any additional cost.

8-20interest in this knife has been absolutely overwhelming after only one day.  i sincerely hope that whoever wins it will cherish it and display it with pride.  i have added pictures by request of the butt, lanyard, sharpening stone and overall blade length of the knife.  i have had a few requests for a 'buy it now', as my reserve has been met, its obvious i underestimated it's monetary value by a lot.  feel free to message an offer and we can see where we stand.i am requesting, and obviously it isnt binding, but i would ask whoever wins this knife to keep my contact information with the knife, should it ever be sold, traded, donated to a museum, or anything like that.  not so i could ask for it back, or try to buy it back, but to keep track of where it is and has been.  again,i can provide more interesting items (pictures of, i would never sell them) of correspondence during wwII, as my grandfather had held on to a decent amount of letters.
