Up for sale with is a Rare Antique Cut Glass and Silver Plate Revolving Dome Top Butter Dish. I have never seen another example like this with a Cut Glass Dome and Dish, being a very Rare find I am sure. The Butter Dish is made exactly like the large Revolving Top Breakfast Dishes but on a much smaller scale. The Silver Plate frame is quite fabulous with Figural Rams Head and Hoof Feet. The Dome and Dish are very nicely Cut Clear Glass with fine details throughout. The Silver is not marked so it is hard to Date it but the family said it belonged to their late Mother and has always been in the home, I would say at least 75 years old if not much more. The Butter Dish is in very good all original condition with a few wear spots to the Silver Plate and the Glass Dish inside shows so wear and small chipping around the top edge. The Dish also does not sit perfectly inside but I am sure the Silver frame just needs a slight adjustment and none of that is seen when just on display. The Butter Dish displays beautifully measuring 9\" wide by 5-3/4\" tall and is also a great size for modern use as well.
