French Antique Silver and Crystal Jam Jar Confiturierby Alphonse DEBAIN (1833-1911)In France they call ‘Confiturier’ (Hence a Jam container), and it turns out that originally they used as Ceremonial Sugar Bowls.This piece is by Alphonse Debain of Paris. The body is Baluster shaped and rests on a crystal pedestal.The silver handles are looped and decorated and the cover is domed.Good Antique Condition
