Description Afinelarge genuine English antique Georgiansolid sterling silver chamber-stick candle snuffer, in lovely condition and dating from around 1780-1800.Excellent qualitygenuineperiod 220+ year old sterling silver example, designed to snuff out candles and tapers, these were often broken/lost and rarely turn up any more. Complete with little silver handle and also still has its silver post for attaching to a chamber-stick if required. A nice size with a decorative turned finial and with a beaded edge. No engraved monograms or crests, and weighs approx 35 grams.

Date Antique 18th Century Georgian solid sterling silver,hallmarked with an early style lion passant/gardant sterling silver stamp. No other marks with is quite normal on these small period silver items as there was no legal requirement to datepieces of a certain weight, but is 100% guaranteed antique solid silver and dates from around 1780-1800.
ConditionLovely condition,no splits or cracks, no obvious repairs and no nasty knocks or dents, just a couple of tiny little shallow surface dents/bruises, really nothing much. a nice clean example. The silver handle and chamber-stick post are both original and are tight and secure.Excellent quality and anice scarce genuine 18th Century silver example.
