Title: Rare Art Deco French Hallmark 18k Gold Natural Pearl Diamond Amethyst Buddha Pendant
Description: This is truly something that you would see in a museum! Here is a massively huge sitting Buddha pendant made in approx 100cts of
carved amethyst. The Buddha is perched on an extremely rare (we consulted with a pearl expert) natural pearl with bold black enamel & 18k white
gold embellishments. The figure is wearing a large teardrop shaped rose cut diamond necklace & the 18k setting, hat / crown & bail are all encrusted
with approx 100 additional old Euro & rose cut diamonds. I must say I have never seen enamel work done like this before! Considered French chinois,
this shows proper French hallmarks with SAS - a maker\'s mark we have seen before on some antique silver & other fine pieces, some currently on the
internet asking $15,000 or more. Please take a moment to view all the images…you will never see anything like this again!
Our sale estimates for this are from $8000 to $10,000, yet our reserve is well under $5000.

Approx. Measurement or Weight of Gem Stones: One approx 35 X 30 X 16mm carved amethyst stone. One 37 X 23 X 18mm freeform pearl,
two 4mm & one 5mm pearls. One 5 X 4mm pear shaped rose cut diamond, two 3-3.2mm & two 2.3-2.4mm round old Euro cut diamonds & ninety-
nine (should be 100 - one 1mm stone is missing) 1-2.5mm old rose cut diamonds
Mounting metal: Tests out as 18k white gold
Manufacture method: Fabricated, hand carved, hand set
Approx. Size or length: Measures approx 3 inches tall (not including the bail) X 2 inches wide & 13/16 inch thick
Condition: Very good, there is some mild chipping around one of the prongs holding the setting to the amethyst (see pics) not very serious & is
on the back side. There are a few tiny lead solder repair spots (very common) - all are expertly done & blend well. The pearls & diamonds are intact
and look fine, but there is one tiny 1mm diamond missing from the setting - not easily seen without 10x magnification.
