For sale - a large 1900-1915 Limoges vase produced and painted by the William Guérin Co. in Limoges, France.
The shape is an elongated oval with gently fluted sides and faux gold handles. There is a raised moriage garland of flowers bordering the top, all done in gold paint. The vase has four round gold feet.
It is marked with a green underglaze mark - "W.G. Co., Limoges France."
The image is a bouquet of springtime jonquils (small daffodils), a symbol of hope in the Victorian, Edwardian era. There are six flowers on one side of the vase and five on the other.
The piece is in excellent, near-mint condition with only very minor scuffing - as can be seen in the photos.
This is a monumental piece at 10.5 inches tall, 7.75 inches long and 4.5 inches wide.
