Up for offer is this unlisted LIME GREEN colored THIS BOTTLE IS THE PROPERTY OF THE SHEFFIELD CORPORATION English POISON bottle. This bottle is 6 ¾ inches tall by 2 ¼ inches square. It has a tooled lip and POISON embossed twice on the front panel and ribbed on the other 2 side panels and plain for a label on the back. This bottle is listed as a KS-3 in Rudy Kuhn’s Poison workbook and is listed as rare in emerald green and cobalt color. This color which this bottle looks to be a dark Lime Green or possibly a light Forest green with a hint of yellow is not listed and per the pictures, it is darker on the neck and the base where the glass is thicker. I have heard there is an olive green version of this bottle but have never seen one. You English or advanced poison bottle collectors have probably seen one in olive but have you seen one in this color? Anyone who has a emerald green or cobalt one will want this color in their collection.
I took pictures of this bottle in all forms of light, inside and out and also have several pictures of it with several other poisons, one emerald green and the other in cobalt to show the fantastic and different coloring of this bottle. Please you decide but I know its not emerald green or olive for sure. The Sheffield bottle here is the only bottle offered in this listing, the other two are not.
It is in near mint condition with no cracks, chips or dings, it does have a few light scratches on the face where the embossing is. Also the 2 dimples on the top of the lip are NOT damage or flakes off the lip but indentations or features from the making of the applied lip. A reserve has been placed on this listing to protect the investment of the bottle. I show and mention everything for accuracy. This unlisted color and excellent conditioned poison bottle displays well and would make an excellent addition to anyone’s KS-3 or English poison bottle collection.
