WELCOME

Thanks for looking in on this vintage hunting knife sale!  You are viewing a stunning Western USA fixed-blade knife & Western Sheath.         (more photos below)

This quality American manufactured knife features a "jigged bone/stag pattern" type of handle.   The beautiful knife was manufactured between 1967 and 1977.

Also, a companion Western "oak leaf" tooled leather sheath is included and fits the knife very well.

This desirable Western USA Staglon handle knife would be great for hunting game, carrying, or in their day” these older knives were mostly purchased to be used…Not collected, making this great condition even more difficult to find.

SIZE:

The overall length measures almost:     8  3/4"

The steel fixed blade length is almost :   4  blade is stamped:

      W E S T E R N

   STAINLESS STEEL

             U.S.A.

The brass finger guard is stamped:

         S-H66         (S= stainless  H= horn    66= blade length)

BLADE:

This Western USA steel blade is full, and has some fine surface scratches, and a few tiny surface age specks. It looks like the bright blade still has the factory blade edge, and has not been resharpened.

This impressive "mirror-like" blade is straight and has a pointed tip. The fixed-blade has no blade edge nicks, and features a false top edge, that could be sharpened if desired..  split-tang composite handle is tight with NO looseness. The beautiful  "jigged bone pattern handle" captures the look and feel of a real stag/bone style handle, but is a quality synthetic material. These handle slabs are secured with two brass pins.  I believe the handle scales are made of  Staglon, which is a durable and long lasting composite material.

This Western hunting knife features a metal pommel, and tight brass finger guard that measures approx.  1  3/8" long. The beautiful solid handle has No chips or cracks , and is in excellent shape, for its age.

There are just a few light minor imperfections on the aluminum pommel end and brass guard.  The secure black and brass spacers at both ends of the handle add to this knife's unique character.

This USA Western knife feels well balanced and heavy for it's size, when held in your hand.  One great knife to own...and a valuable tool whether hunting, fishing, or vintage Western leather sheath is also included and fits the knife perfectly.  The nice old WESTERN sheath has a belt loop, stiff throat,  working snap strap,  intact stitching, and 4 secure metal rivets. The leather sheath shows light normal wear and a few wrinkles at the tip, but is in great shape for its age. There is one cut that measures 1/2" long on the top edge, near the tip area.  The cut doesn't go all the way through and has been securely glued together.
