This is one of two medal groups I have online at the moment. They were both given to the same family, believed to be uncle and nephew, both of whom served in the Royal Navy. This group of three medals consists of the Baltic medal, the Second China War medal and a Royal Humane Society bronze medal for life saving. The first two medals are unnamed, as was the case with the Royal Navy. The third medal was given to Samuel Tom who served on HMS Boscawen, and is dated 10 February 1859. The China medal has two clasps, Canton 1857 and Taku Forts 1858. The ribbons of the life saving medal and the Baltic medal appear original, the China medal has a small section left only. The medals themselves are in super condition, as can be seen.
