This is a Robot Royal III self-winding camera with a Schneider-Kreuznach 40mm lens and leather cover/case. It was produced from 1953-57 by Otto Berning & Co. located in Schwelm, Westphalia, Germany. Camera markings: Robot Royal Germany Nr. G-129769 Mod. III Lens markings: Schneider-Kreuznach Xenon 1:1,9/40 4292159 Case markings: Robot GermanyThe camera is in sound mechanical condition, and appears to operate properly in all respects. But note significant deterioration of the black (plastic?) material that covers the metal body, and surface corrosion of the underlying metal case. This is evident in the photos.The leather cover and its leather strap are in good condition, apart from some rust visible on the metal D-rings that attach the strap to the case.
