STONEWARE BATTER JUG.
This features COBALT paintings on both sides.
The batter jug is impressed:
\"COWDEN & WILCOX HARRISBURG, PA 2\"
The Original wood bale handle is still intact.
The stoneware batter jug measures 11 1/2\" tall (to the lip). It is approximately 9 \" wide in the body.
There is one \"ear\" handle on the back side bottom.
There are NO chips around the rim. The batter spout has some old chips as seen. One side of the jug has a very old repair (as seen). It is really old, and done well. The shape is perfect. The texture is like old concrete. It is STRONG, and STURDY. The inside is glazed dark brown, and it is in Good Condition. The \"ear\" handle at the bottomhas a couple of chips, but are not seen upon normal display. The very bottom edge has NO chips. It is a Really STRIKING piece. Very SOUND.
A Great looking Primitive on display.
Shipping within the United States will be $42.00 (due to size and weight). It will be packed very well.
It was kind of hard to really photograph well. It is better in person, in my opinion. Rich and Wonderful.

The repair I refer to is the left side handle (as you are looking at the impressed stampings). Someone wrote and told me it was not a repair, I will leave that up to your judgement. Again, it is old and strong, whatever it is. Thanks.
