SCARCE VINTAGE TIN FRICTION SPACEPATROL ROBOT CAR R8 ATC CRAGSTAN JAPAN

Thissale is for a vintage tin lithographed friction powered with tumbling Robotaction Space Patrol R8 car made by Asahi ATC in Japan. This red convertible sports car has killerlithographing from every angle – detailed instrument panel on the dash, seatsand carpet, R8 Robot has all original parts, with classic robot design (rivets– vents, gauges, rectangle grilled mouth, large yellow eyes). Original wheels and windshield, undercarriageis very clean, marked ATC on back rear.The design of the car is sleek with nice curves and rounded edges –lithographed vents in back and raised vents on hood.

Thenear perfect lid for this box is a great reproduction with killer graphic ofthe Space Patrol car driving over a desert or a distant planet with stars inthe background and a red and white checkered flag waving! The box reads “IT’s Cragstan for TOYS” andlooks wonderful next to the car!

Thistoy was tested on 2-16-2015 and works but friction motor is slipping and didnot hear the siren – When activated the front wire on grill release buttoncauses the robot to fly forward and tumble over the hood where it spins incircles!

Height = 4” (ground to head)

Length = 8 ½ (bumper to bumper)

Width = 4” (front wheel well side toside)
