A Vintage Shelley Art Deco Trio - Cup, Saucer & Plate - Mabel Lucie Attwell \'Fairy Folk\' Childrens Design

This is a beautiful vintage Shelley children\'s cup, saucer and plate, known as a trio. The set features a pattern designed by Mabel Lucie Attwell, showing a little girl watching some little fairies in green suits playing, with the rhyme \'Fairy folk with tiny wings playing all over the plates and things\'.All three pieces have a green painted band around their edge. The reverse of all pieces are stamped with the \'Shelley England\' backstamp, together with the \'Copyright Design\' and there is also a paintress mark.

The plate measures approx 6 inches/15.3cms in diameter, the saucer measures approx 5 3/8 inches/13.8cms in diameter and the cup measures approx 2 7/8 inches/7.3cms to the rim. All three are in good condition with only the slightest of wear. Please note that any white marks are due to camera flash.
