For sale - A rare Shelley New Intarsio Pomegranate Moorcroft vase. C.1929. The pattern was styled on the William Moorcroft tube-lined Pomegranate design. The Shelley version was done in bas-relief but was only in production for less than a week before Wlliam Moorcroft threatened Shelley with dire consequences unless production was stopped.Decorated with pomegranates, bunches of grapes and leaves on a deep blue ground.Dimensions: height - 153mm (6 inches) / diameter 70mm (2.75 inches) Condition: Very good - No chips, cracks or crazing.
