SHREVE CRUMP & LOW STERLING BELL; TABLE BELL CRAFTED AS A SEA HORSE; MADE c1920
We are pleased to offer this rare turn of the century Shreve, Crump & Low sterling silver sea horse table bell.
The dome shape bell with spiral fluted bead panels. Hand hammered surfaces which gradually turn to smooth toward lower edge. Boldly cast sea horse finial - handle, the creatures tail winding around and around.
Never monogrammed.
This rarely seen Shreve sea horse table bell is 2 1/2 inches and 2.4 standard ounces.
Hallmarked as shown.
In excellent condition. Rich lusterous patina. Beautiful chime to bell.
