Offered here for your offerdingconsideration is this wonderful19th centuryantiquecrazy quilt made for a doll\'s bed! This unique piece measures roughly 21\" square and is made from a variety of lush fabrics that includes silks, velvets, cottons, along withheavy use of embroidery! All the edges of the randomly pieced materials are bordered with decorative embroidery stitches in amany differentcolors. There are lovely embroidered flowers as well. The entire piece is hand stitched and bordered in a thin strip of red material. It is backedin muslin. Naturally, with a piece this age made of delicate materials, there will be age related wear inthe form of yellowing, melting, and fraying. I show some examples in my close up photographs. In my photographsthis gorgeousquilt is seen on an antique Jenny Lind turned wood spool bedthat measures 18 1/2\" long by 9 1/2\" tall and 10 1/2\" wide. For additional size reference, I also show it on a larger doll bed that measures 32\" long by 18\" wide. (The dolls and beds shown are not included, though the spool bed can be seen in a separate sale.) Of course, this lovely quilt has collectible value all on its own as an interesting piece of textile history.
