This buy it now listing is for one (1) Unissued, NOS, Walnut wooden M1 Garand stock. These are full length (29.5 inches). These fit the US Garands, not the italian Garands, which were an inch or so shorter. At some point, The Italians took these stocks which were originally made for the Italian Garands, and modified them to fit the American Garands. They did this by cutting the stocks, and scabbing a new piece to the end of the stock to make them the inch longer they needed to be. Look very closely at the pictures and you will be able to see this. These aren\'t some crappy modification, this is factory done, and it done professionally. After doing so, they stamped \"MT\" into the stocks, which stands for \"Modified Terni\". The Walnut wood is gorgeous, and with a little work, you can almost make the scabbing line disappear. I have a few Garands with these stocks on them, and have had ZERO issues with the quality or look. I usually have to explain to my friends to look VERY closely to see the line, and they are impressed. This is a GREAT stock, in original wrapper. You will be very happy with the quality. I have included a few pictures of multiple stocks side by side, so you can see that these are gorgeous, and a lot of beautiful color and grains in the wood.
I have included a few pictures of the stock side by side with my Original WW2 Stock from one of my Garands, and as you can tell, it is a dead copy from the American Originals that were not modified. The Italian made stock is the one on the Garand itself. The Original US made stock is underneath, with the sling attached. You are buying just the Wooden butt stock.
