This is a quite stunning carved wooden oak panel with the relief carving of Diana the Huntress with the stag and recumbent dogs of which:

During our research we have been informed it certainlydates from the early period of the 19th century.

Dates about c1820.

Of a Black Forest origin.

Superbrelief carved rectangular oak panel with the relief carving of the seated naked Diana the Huntress with the quiver of arrows with in her hand: an arrow.

Portrayed with her is the large stag deer with the two recumbent dogs.

All carved in relief with the intricate carvings.

To the rear is an adhered label which shows information of the original sculpture.

The panel hasan overall sizeof about 18.5 x 12.25inches.

Max depth of just under 1.25inches.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition is excellent and is not subject to:

any major blemishes except: a split to the side with chipping to the a corner at the base.
